The Department of Music seeks a dynamic conductor and teacher to provide artistic leadership and administrative oversight for the orchestraprogram. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking musical artist with a vision to creatively shape the current orchestra and ensemblesprogram into the future. The applicant will work collaboratively with studio faculty; teach undergraduate and graduate courses inconducting; actively recruit for the Music Department; participate in string area auditions; provide service and leadership to public schoolorchestra programs; and be active in research/creative activity and service for the department and university. Additional responsibilitiesdepend on the successful applicant's ability but may include teaching a course in orchestral literature. Specific Tasks
